This week I learned the different types of articles in a newspaper. They are local news story, provincial, national, foreign, sports, games and comics, classifieds.

On mathletics I learned how to change a repeated decimal into a fraction.

This week on Mathletics I learned how to reduce repeating decimals into fractions. For example if you take 0.54 with the four repeating then you want to break it apart. So take the 5 and put it over a ten beacause it is not repeating. Then take the four and put it over a nine beacuase it is repeating. Then divide the four ninths by ten to get four 90ths. Then make a common denominator like 90. Once you have that then you can add them together and simplify then to get your answer which is 49/90ths because you can't simply it.

This week in science I have learned the difference betweeen Heat energy and temperature. They are very similar but are also very different. Heat energy is the movement of how quickly the molecules are moving but temperature is the measurement of how hot the object is. It all depends on how fast the molecules are moving.

This week I have learned how to add integers. For example, you take (+5) + (-8) =. You think of five pieces of paper that are pink (positive) and eight pieces of paper that are yellow (negative). You cancel then out and are left with three yellow pieces so, your answer is -3.

Today I have learned how to subtract decimals by balancing them. First you, take the question and you add the same amount to each number. For ex. 3.96-2.99. You add 0.01 to both number to get 3.97-3=? So your answer would be 0.97 and that is how you would subtract by bale cling with decimals.
