Yesterday we learned about regions. We learned that the world is divided into different regions. There is the wilderness region, rural region, urban region. I will tell you a little about each. The wilderness region has little to no people living there, an example of this region is mountains little people live there. A rural region is open countryside, were there are farms. Did you know only 20% of Canadians live in rural region A urbon region is like a city or a town. Did you know that 80% of Canadians live in urbon regions that's a lot. Urbon regions try to put little rural regions inside of them and we call them parks.

Divisibility Rules
I learned that the divisibility rule for four is - if the last two digits can be divided by four so can the number
-Caleigh
What I learned
This week so far I have learned sone Divisibility rules for dividing. On of the rules that we learned was if you have a question that has to be divided by three then you add up the digits in the number, and to know that it can be divided, the number that you get will be able to be divided by three and that is how you know if it can be divided by 3. Ex. 123. 1+2+3=6 and 6 can be divided by three.

This week I learned the meaning of a new words like Leisure. Leisure means spare time or time off.
I also learned about the power of ten, exponent, repeated multiplication, expanded form, and stranded form. For some examples.
Repeated multiplication: 5x5, 4x4x4, 5x5x5x5
Standed form: 25, 64, 625

Prefixes
Today I learned about prefixes. Prefixes add letters at the start of a word like un or mis. They make different words like agree it means agree with something and then add a prefix like dis, disagree now you got the opposite of agree. Not agree

Today is Monday and I learned to round numbers. So if you have a number lets say 1 456 and you have to round up the hundreds it would be 1 500, and if you had to round up the thousands then it would he 1 000. Now if you had a decimal lets say 1 456.789 and you had to round up the tenths it would be 1 456.8. That's not all we learned we also learned tons of other stuff too.

Today we learned...
Today in math we learned more about rounding numbers to the nearest one, ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, and more. Like for example if you have the number two hundred thirty-five and you want to round to the nearest hundred then you see if the number is over fifty and if it is you round up, but if it isn't you round down.

Rounding Numbers
Today we learned how to round numbers. For example if you were rounding 268 to the nearest hundred it would be 300. If you were doing a number with a decimal for example, if you had the number 236.78 and you were rounding to the nearest hundred it would be 200.

This is our first full week in Mr.Routledge's class. Today is Tuesday and we started the book Hatchet it is a really good book. The book starts off with Brian in a bushplane. He talks about his parents divorce and he meets the pilot. The pilot is really quiet at the start but they start to talk. On the plane the pilot lets Brian drive, he also tells Brian how to turn. When Brian is done flying the plane he sits back down. And then everything starts going wrong from there. I love Hatchet so far! We learned a lot of other things too we did a little work with synonyms, antonym, and homonyms too. That is what room 107 learned and we also learned other things as well such as mental math.

S.S. Latitude and Longitude
This week I learned in social studies that it is easier to learn if you write done the definitions of the key vocabulary of the unit that you are doing. Two key words that I learned was the words latitude and longitude. They are the imaginary lines on the Earth measuring north to south and east to west. They are used to locate a place on the Earth.
